Terms of Service
1. Acceptance
These terms govern your use of the Networthing iOS application ("the app"). By installing or using the app you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
2. What Networthing Is
Networthing is a manual entry net worth tracker. You enter the values of your assets, debts and expenses, and the app calculates totals, trends and projections from what you entered. The app does not connect to banks, brokerages or any financial institution, and it does not verify the figures you enter.
3. Not Financial Advice
Nothing in the app is financial, investment, tax or legal advice. Projections such as Financial Freedom targets, savings rate trends and forecasts are arithmetic on your own entries and on assumptions you can change. They are illustrations, not predictions or recommendations. Decisions about your money are yours alone, and you should consult a qualified professional before acting on anything the app shows.
4. Networthing Pro Subscription
Some features require a Networthing Pro subscription, offered as a monthly or an annual plan.
- New subscribers receive a 7 day free trial. If you do not cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the subscription begins and your Apple ID is charged the plan price.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before renewal. Your Apple ID is charged for the next period within 24 hours before it begins.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription in your device Settings under your Apple ID, Subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
- Payment is handled by Apple. Networthing never sees your payment card details. Refund requests go to Apple under the App Store terms.
- Prices are shown in the app before you subscribe and may change for future periods. You will be notified before any price change takes effect on your subscription.
5. Your Data
Everything you enter is stored on your device and nowhere else. That means you are responsible for keeping it. Use the Export feature in Settings to create a backup before changing phones or deleting the app. If you delete the app without exporting, your data is gone and cannot be recovered by us, because we never had it. How your data is handled is described in the Privacy Policy.
6. Market Prices
Live prices for cryptocurrency and precious metals come from third party services (CoinGecko and metals.live). They may be delayed, unavailable or inaccurate, and we do not guarantee them. Where a price cannot be fetched, the app uses the last value it has.
7. Acceptable Use
You may use the app for your own personal financial tracking. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, resell or redistribute the app, interfere with its operation, or use it for anything unlawful.
8. Intellectual Property
The app, its design, name and content are owned by Networthing and protected by copyright and trademark law. The figures you enter are yours.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
The app is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and accuracy. We do not warrant that the app will be error free or uninterrupted.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Networthing is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential or special damages, or for any loss of data, profits or investment value, arising from your use of or inability to use the app. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the subscription in the twelve months before the claim arose.
11. Termination
You may stop using the app at any time by deleting it. We may suspend or end access to the app if these terms are violated. Sections 3, 8, 9, 10 and 12 survive termination.
12. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, United States, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in New Jersey, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
13. Apple
These terms are between you and Networthing, not Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide support or maintenance for the app and is not responsible for any claim relating to it. Apple is a third party beneficiary of these terms and may enforce them against you.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the date above and, for material changes, notify you within the app. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
