1. Overview
Networthing is a personal net worth tracking application for iOS. We are committed to protecting your privacy. Because Networthing is a manual-entry app with no bank sync, the vast majority of your financial data never leaves your device.
2. Data Stored Entirely On Your Device
The following is entered by you and stored only in encrypted local storage on your device. It is never transmitted to our servers or any third party:
- Asset values (cash, investments, retirement, crypto, precious metals, real estate, other)
- Debt balances (mortgages, auto loans, credit cards, other)
- Monthly expenses and fixed bills
- Net worth snapshots and historical archives
- Financial goals (Financial Freedom target, Emergency Fund target)
- App preferences and settings
3. Subscription & Purchase Data
Networthing uses RevenueCat to manage in-app subscriptions. We receive only anonymized subscription status. We do not receive or store your payment card details. RevenueCat's privacy policy: revenuecat.com/privacy
4. Live Market Price Requests
When you hold crypto or precious metal assets, the app makes requests to third-party pricing APIs:
- Cryptocurrency prices: CoinGecko — no personal data is sent
- Precious metals prices: metals.live — no personal data is sent
5. Information We Do Not Collect
- Your name, email address, or account credentials
- Your location
- Device identifiers for advertising
- Any financial data you enter into the app
- Usage analytics or behavioral tracking data
Crash and diagnostic reports sent to Sentry (see Data Sharing) are not usage analytics or behavioral tracking: they capture only error details and your device, OS, and app version to fix bugs — never your financial data or a record of how you use the app.
6. Data Storage & Security
All financial data is stored locally on your device using MMKV encrypted key-value storage. The encryption key is stored in your device's secure keychain. If you delete the app, all locally stored data is permanently deleted.
7. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information. The only data sharing that occurs:
- RevenueCat: subscription and purchase transactions
- CoinGecko / metals.live: anonymous price requests (no personal data)
- Apple: standard App Store analytics and crash reports
- Sentry: crash and diagnostic reports (error message, stack trace, and your device, OS, and app version) to help fix bugs — never your financial data, which stays on your device. sentry.io/privacy
8. Children's Privacy
Networthing is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the date above and notify you within the app for material changes.
